Amazing little spot! Fresh sushi rotating bar, which is what drew me to the restaurant in the first place. We went for lunch time and sat by the revolving table. The eel sushi was delicious. A robot took and delivered our first drink order was quite neat. The only downside was...the price!. For an afternoon meal for two was $60 plus sides, which is why this restaurant is getting the rating it is. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the meal.

This was such a cool and different experience, the food was yummy from what I ate I had the sushi and noodles , when you get your drinks it's delivered to the table by a small robot it's really cool then they have a conveyer belt full of different sushi, deserts, veggies, and other plates. There is a small shoot at the edge of the table where you insert your small plates and you get a small key chain after so many plates, if feels like your eating in the future everything is so cute the decor is really cute and clean the food on the conveyor belt is fresh and all dishes are covered by a plastic dome. Service was very good.

This is the experience I had with Kura Revolving Sushi on 255 E Basse Rd. Been here multiple times so it is an overdue review. It is located in The Quarry San Antonio across from Fleming's Prime Steakhouse next to Club Pilates. Parking is quite easy as it shares a large outdoor lot with other shops in the plaza so typically there're no issues finding a spot. Ambiance is lively and you can hear normal chatters from customers. The revolving belt is nicely displayed and entertaining especially if you have children in your party. The sushi and items are typically quite tasty and I always enjoy the variety of items that they offer. The salmon, hand rolls, crispy chicken and teriyaki red bean ice cream are our favorite dishes; the ingredients are always fresh and we have never had any issues with the food. This location is probably about half the size of the Austin TX location and has a slightly different selection however still good. Further, when you download their app you can collect points; we usually get a $5 off coupon almost every other time we visit Kura and they always have random promotions going on, which is very wallet friendly. Last but not least, I want to recommend the server Devin, who was not only friendly and courteous, he assisted me in applying the coupon (I did not have the QR code but only the Ad on my App), and told me a few interesting facts about getting the limited edition toys that they sell. Awesome guy. Because of Devin, the fun environment and the great food, will definitely return for more. Keep up the good work Devin and Kura San Antonio!

I've already had Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in San Francisco and the experience in the San Antonio location is certainly no different. I wanted to take a friend that hasn't been before and it's a fun experience trying to reach 15 or 30 plates for a little prize. The service was good and the ambiance at a Kura is always one of my favorites. The sushi quality won't ever blow you away, but you're paying more for the experience than anything else. I would mainly just get the sushi and avoid their cooked options like the Shrimp Tempura which was really bad. The shrimp had a gummy texture. It was also very oily. Hard pass. We sat close to the chefs making the sushi and they were pretty friendly and communicated with us at times. They also prepped our dishes that we ordered fairly quickly too. If you haven't been to Kura then it is certainly worth a try as long as you don't come in expecting 5 star quality sushi.
